Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp sugar
- Aloe Vera leaf
- 1/2 tbsp milk
Instructions:
- Mix the milk and sugar together until sugar is not as grainy.
- Choose an aloe Vera leaf size according to how much juice is within the leaf.
- Mix aloe Vera juices from leaf with sugar/milk combo.
- Spread over face leave for five minutes.
- Wash off with a wet washcloth.
- If washcloth doesn’t clean thoroughly enough use face wash to completely scrub.
Pros:
Aloe Vera has been used for countless centuries by many civilizations, and a score of historic figures you may recognize such as Alexander the Great, Cleopatra, King Solomon and others. Texts referencing the use of aloe plants go back 3,500 years. Native American healers used aloe vera for medicinal purposes, as have Japanese, Chinese, Romans and ancient Greek physicians. Physicians have long considered aloe vera to be a natural emollient and antiseptic.
Cons:
Scientific evidence for the cosmetic and therapeutic effectiveness of Aloe vera is limited and when present is typically contradictory. Despite this, the cosmetic and alternative medicine industries regularly make claims regarding the soothing, moisturising and healing properties.
